About the event
Farm Friends Chick & Duck Hatching Program is funded by the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program. It's a valuable off-site program for Dunmore Equestrian, ran by Joyce Stuber and volunteers. It runs from April 1st to 30th with senior home residents assisting in the monitoring the hatching. After the eggs hatch, the team will leave some of the chicks and ducklings at the homes for residents to feed, handle and watch grow. Ten (10) senior homes are taking part in this year's hatching program.
