Supporting community values,
a strong work ethic, and personal growth
2017 was an exciting year for the Dunmore Equestrian Society as the first Dunmore Equestrian Sweetheart was crowned. In 2023 they added Dunmore Equestrian Miss and now have two representatives for The Little Britches Rodeo, the equestrian park, the community, and overall, the western way of life. Along with appearing at Dunmore Equestrian events, they make appearances at events in Medicine Hat, Cypress County and southeastern Alberta through their year-long term.
Dunmore Equestrian Sweetheart and Dunmore Equestrian Miss are a great opportunity for young women of the community. If you are between the ages of 12 and 21, you are invited to enter the competition, which will be held leading up to this year’s Little Britches Rodeo, September 6th to 8th. The competition will consist of several components including but not limited to horsemanship and public speaking. Entrants will be given opportunities to network and develop lifelong skills.
Dunmore Equestrian Sweetheart and Dunmore Equestrian Miss are the perfect stepping stones for aspiring rodeo royalty who hope to compete for Alberta High School Rodeo Queen, Miss Medicine Hat Stampede, and Miss Rodeo Canada.
