Joyce lives with her husband, Darwin on a ranch north of Redcliff where they raised sons, Austin & Wyatt. She taught for 29 years at Crescent Heights High School and baked a cake for each of her students’ birthdays (sometimes the only birthday cake they ever saw). She loves to garden and has a small embroidery business in her home. Her family team rope and ride horses on the ranch to manage cattle. She prefers her small animals; her favorite being her donkeys (Envy and Ivy), a pot-bellied pig and several dogs.

Joyce has been on the Dunmore Equestrian board since it started, recognizing the need for a public community riding facility. She loves how each of the board members bring a skill to the group and together maintain a dedicated, hard-working team. She would love to see DES have a completed indoor arena, a general manager, and regularly scheduled events.
